Warzone Mobile – Android Gamers Face Poor Graphics & Performance

The most awaited Mobile battle royale game “Warzone Mobile” was released on 21st March 2024. Gamers have been waiting for this game for over two years. But the excitement quickly went away with below-the-expected graphics and performance. Here’s what the Android gamers and users said about the gameplay.

Warzone Mobile System Requirements

Before proceeding, you must be aware of the system requirements for the Warzone Mobile. This game is surely not for every phone out there. For Android, the Minimum requirements are Adreno 618 GPU which means Snapdragon 720G and above. And even on this chipset, you can expect only blurry graphics and 40-45 FPS max. And for iOS, it is iPhone SE (2nd generation) and above with iOS 16 Software.

Android Gamers were Dissatisfied

Many of the Android users took to online platforms to share their dissatisfaction. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the issue isn’t with every Android smartphone. Most of the users who complained were using the Snapdragon 888 chipset smartphone. And, if you remember the SD 888 is well known for its overheating and throttle performance even when it was released. So it could be just this processor that’s facing the optimization issue.

Opposite case for the iPhone and iPad users

On the other hand, Apple devices like iPhones and iPads performed quite well with the game. Many of the iPhone 14 and 15 users said that the performance has been quite smooth. So we can safely assume that Warzone Mobile has been more optimized for Apple devices. And if you look at the past, that has been the case for most Mobile games like Call of Duty Mobile and even PUBG Mobile. All of these games do run a lot better and also look sharper on these devices. However, the recent chipsets from Snapdragon have set the bar high for Android smartphones as well.

Will Warzone Mobile not run smoothly on Android?

Of course, that’s not the case, it all depends on the phone’s optimization and also the game. For example, I have a Poco F4 with a Snapdragon 870 chipset, and surprisingly the game ran quite smoothly. Moreover, even on high graphics the device touched 60 FPS sometimes. Also, according to the developers we have to play a few matches for the graphics to fully load.

Final Thoughts

Honestly, Warzone Mobile is a whole new category of mobile game. If you have seen the Peak graphics on the M1 and M2 iPads, you’ll know the standard they’ve set. It’s close enough to the PC version in some aspects which is mind-blowing. This is only the first release of the game and like CODM it’ll only get better. If they can add a feature to preload the game assets and shader, etc that will for sure help. The future still looks quite bright for this game and it’ll be interesting to see its improvement.
