YouTube’s home feed can get repetitive over time. Sometimes, we can even scroll to the bottom and not find anything that interests us. Maybe it’s the algorithm or we’ve been spending too much time on the platform. But to change this behaviour and suggest better videos, we can now customize our YouTube Home Feed.
While scrolling on the home page, there’ll be a banner with an option to customize. We can then tap on it and proceed, YouTube then will showcase multiple video thumbnails. Now, all you need to do is tap the videos that you’ll most probably watch. After selecting all the videos you like, tap on the customized button. Instantly, we can notice the changes to our home page. There’ll be some of the videos that were in the suggestions as well.
It’s a good initiative by YouTube to let users decide the kind of videos they want on their recommendations. There are times when we watch some videos but do not want similar content on our feeds. Also, It would be great if YouTube could present this customization option every few weeks. This new option is new and may be rolling out in batches, so keep an eye out.
