Motorola Edge 20 Series: Everything You Need To Know!

Motorola has launched three smartphones under the Edge 20 series lineup. They are Motorola Edge 20, Edge 20 Fusion, and the Edge 20 Pro. They all look quite promising for the price they are being offered.

Build and display

Motorola Edge 20 has a 6.7″ Full HD OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has an 89% screen-to-body ratio and a screen density of 385 PPI. The build is a mixture of plastic and metal. The back is made of plastic but the frame is of aluminum. The phone is made to be water repellent.

The phone weighs only 163g and is 7mm in thickness. It is available in a configuration of 8/128GB and 12/256GB variants.

Processor and Software

It is powered by the Snapdragon 778G chipset with Adreno 642L GPU. This is a fairly new chipset with the likes of 750G and 765G. It is a 6nm fabricated chipset which makes it more efficient than other 700 series processors.

Moto Edge 20 runs on Android 11. The User Interface is close to stock that is always appreciated. There is a specific Moto app that houses many customization options and gestures.

Camera

The main camera is a 108 MP f/1.9 camera. It has also an 8 MP f/2.4 79mm telephoto camera which has 3X optical zoom support. The telephoto camera also supports OIS. The Ultra-wide camera is a 16 MP f/2.2 lens and has a FOV of 119 Degree. The selfie camera is a 32 MP with an f/2.3 aperture.

Battery and Other Features

It has a 4000 Mah battery with 30W fast charging support. It has a side-mounted fingerprint reader built in the power button. Moto Edge 20 supports NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, and Dual-band Wifi. The good thing is that it supports 11 5G bands. Most other devices support 7 or 8 bands at most. Moto G 5G also supported 11 5G bands.

Motorola Edge 20 Fusion flaunts a 6.7″ Full HD+ OLED panel that has a high refresh of 90Hz. It has a plastic back and frame and weighs 185g.

It is powered by the MediaTek MT6853 Dimensity 800U 5G Octa-Core chipset with Mali-G57 MC3 GPU. Motorola Edge 20 Fusion runs on Android 11 which is close to the Stock Android interface.
