After the recent launch of Realme GT 5 Pro, Realme is looking to release its popular number series. The Realme 12 series will have the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus models as both of them were spotted on the BIS certification website. Realme smartphones usually have RMX-like codes for their models, and the same is the case here. The two models will have the same kind of codes as listed on the site, RMX3842 and RMX3840. However, the company has not yet officially confirmed any of the leaks. Still, looking at the previous launches, we can safely assume a lot of the details.
Realme 12, Realme 12 Pro Plus To Feature Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC
Now coming to the most asked question about a smartphone and that is the processor. So here’s the good news, the Realme 12 series may be powered with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. And unlike the older phones like Realme 11 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus which had Mediatek Dimensity 1080 SoC.
Which wasn’t the best when considering how expensive the phones were. But the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in some cases is supposed to be even equivalent to some Snapdragon 8 Gen series processors as well. So we can expect a massive upgrade for performance in Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus.
Realme 12 Pro Plus may feature a Periscope Camera
Periscope cameras have been a trend in Flagship smartphones for a while now. And we finally see that happening in the mid-range segment as well. Realme 12 Pro may feature a 32 MP IMX709 Telephoto lens for 2x optical zoom quality. The Realme 12 Pro Plus may flaunt a 64 MP Omnivision OV64B Periscope camera for even 3x optical zoom and further digital zoom.
Additionally, the camera system layout is also really important. They may go for a circular camera layout, maybe something like their Realme GT 5 Pro. The layout will house two circular camera lenses with a rectangle cut out for the Periscope lens. This is quite exciting to see a potential Periscope lens in the mid-range segment. Moreover, this will be on their marketing promotions for sure.
What will be the expected price of Realme 12 Pro, and Realme 12 Pro Plus?
This could be too early to say but surprisingly there have been Leaks even about the pricing for these devices. According to some sources, the tipped price for the Realme 12 Pro is RMB 2,099 which converts to approx ₹25,000 in India. Also, this price is for the 12GB and 256 GB model of the device. Currently, we only have the price leak for the Realme 12 Pro and no news regarding the Realme 12 Pro Plus. These devices along with other models will likely launch in the first quarter of 2024 in China. We can expect the global and India launch to follow shortly after that.
