Let’s see how it stacks up against its closest competitor Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G.

Motorola Edge 30

Display

Motorola Edge 30 features a vivid 10 Bit Full HD Plus pOLED display. These displays are made by LG and are quite slim and flexible. This definitely helps in keeping the weight down. It is also backed by a 144hz refresh rate, which offers a super-smooth scrolling experience. The display is bright and just pleasing to look at. It also supports DC dimming for a flicker-free screen. The narrow bezels make the screen stand out and give a futuristic appearance. We also have an in-display fingerprint scanner, which is decently fast and accurate.

Performance

Motorola Edge 20 was powered by the Snapdragon 778G processor. So to give a slight upgrade, Motorola has chosen to go with the Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. Which is just an overclocked variant of the previous processor. The performance is best in this segment with good thermals and stability. Definitely a powerful chipset in this category. On Antutu Benchmark it scores almost 500K Plus, which is insane. you can easily play Battlegrounds Mobile or PUBG with Smooth graphics and an Extreme frame rate.

Camera

In this department, Motorola has not been disappointed either. Motorola Edge 30 features a main 50MP camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide which can act as a macro as well, and lastly a depth sensor. The camera performs excellently in most cases. There are details and sharpness even in low light. It can record up to 4K 30 fps with stabilization. Ultra-wide and macro shots output is sharp and vivid. The cameras are definitely better than the competitors.

Battery

Motorola had to cut down on the battery to make the device lighter. It features a 4020 mAh battery, which seems lower than the current standard of 5000 mAh. But in practical usage, the phone lasts easily a full day. The pOLED display is quite efficient and helps in this case. Gaming will drain the battery faster but that’s true for every smartphone on the market. Motorola Edge 30 also supports 33W fast charging. So topping up the battery will not be such a pain.
