The recent price hike in recharge plans for telecom operators like Jio has left users puzzled, mostly because the hike is not a minuscule one but a good 25% to 30%. Jio’s popular Value Plan of ₹395 plan for 84 days validity has been increased to ₹479. In this post, I will go through two methods or tricks to still do the ₹395 recharge even after the tariff price hike.
Do ₹395 Plan Recharge Using Tariff Protection?
- For the first method to work, ensure you have no active plans. Go to the Jio website from your browser and log in with your mobile number.
- Now you will see your name and recharge information, click on the gear icon beside your name.
- After that scroll down until you see Service Settings, and expand that option.
- Here you will see multiple options and there will be Tariff Protection at the end.
- Opening that option you will see plans on old rates like the ₹395, ₹155, ₹259 and more.
- You can then recharge with any of the plans and enjoy tariff protection.
Do ₹395 Plan Recharge Using Jio AutoPay?
- The second method also requires you to use the browser and open the Jio website. Log in with your number and you will see your plan information.
- Scroll down and click on Set Up Jio Autopay and then proceed with the setup.
- There will be a list of various recharge plans, scroll down to value and you will see the ₹395 plan and many more.
- You can then select the plan and then set up an auto-pay facility using UPI services like Paytm, Google Pay, etc.
- Jio AutoPay automatically recharges your phone with the preferred recharge plan every month.
