You can look at January in Where Winds Meet as a packed mini-season. The roadmap introduces new story content, a fresh region, events, and a major seasonal celebration at the end of the month. Players on global servers are getting many features already tested on the CN side, so things arrive with some extra polish.

Week 1 – Level Cap and Hero’s Realm
You can start with the Solo Level 10 Unbound update, which basically pushes the level cap and opens more late-game progression. Alongside that, Hero’s Realm launches as a 10-player raid-style instance with a weekly clear limit and fixed drops, officially unlocking at level 51 but scaling for higher caps.
Week 2 – Kaifeng Story, Nameless General & Jianghu Martial Games
You can get fresh narrative content on January 8 with the Kaifeng Campaign & Legacy Quests, which extend the main story and add side arcs tied to regional characters. On the same day, a new world boss, Nameless General, appears in the Kaifeng region, using fast pressure combos and puppet summons that force players to manage adds and positioning.
You can also jump into Jianghu Martial Games, a ranked seasonal PvP event acting as this version’s competitive Olympic-style festival. CN players know it as Heroic Olympics, featuring multiple mini-modes like racing events and card-based battles, plus cosmetics such as pigments, helmets, and masks for top performers.
Week 3 – Mistveil Prison, Guild Battle Preseason, Nine Mortal Ways Base
You can test your puzzle and exploration skills starting January 15 with Mistveil Prison, a tomb-like puzzle cave filled with collectibles and tricky routing that often leaves players stuck without guidance. On January 16, Guild Battle Preseason begins as a testbed for guild PvPvE territory-style battles, letting teams practice objective-focused matches before full guild wars launch.
You can then explore Nine Mortal Ways Base on January 22, labeled as a new region hub packed with challenge NPCs, chests, curiosities, and extra exploration loops for completionists pursuing collectibles and sect flavor.
Week 4 – Whispers Beneath the Moon, Year of Abundance & Season-End Dash
You can return to the narrative on January 25 with Whispers Beneath the Moon, a new story chapter also referred to as Paper Moon on CN, which continues the main plotline. To close the month, January 29 brings Year of Abundance, a Lunar New Year-style event with free pulls, tickets, login rewards, and optional paid milestones that unlock limited cosmetics and event-only items.
You can pair that with Season-End Dash, also on January 29, which ties into stamina and energy systems by giving extra rewards for finishing weekly PvE allotments and completing daily and weekly PvP tasks during the final push of the season.
