What Features to Expect at Launch
The early access map for Grounded 2 is huge, matching the scale of Grounded 1’s final backyard. The initial release delivers the full Act One campaign with the intro, middle quests, and a boss fight, set in 1992. The return of Omniant as the main antagonist drives the new story mode.
You’ll find story mode for narrative play and creative mode for sandbox building, with custom rules. Additional modes, like playground, are planned for updates after early access.
Crossplay is active between Xbox and Steam or Microsoft Store on PC, so friends can link up easily. There’s no cross-save with Grounded 1, and for now, there’s no PvP, split screen, or dedicated servers; though these might arrive in future updates.
