Apple now offers the option to purchase the USB-C charging case separately for $99. This will allow users who’ve embraced the USB-C ecosystem to upgrade their second-generation AirPods Pro with a more affordable choice. If you’ve already invested in the Lightning case version, this provides a cost-effective way to make the transition. The AirPods Pro 2nd generation, complete with the USB-C feature, is priced at $249. Additionally, the MagSafe-compatible AirPods Pro USB-C case can be bought independently for $99.

The USB-C AirPods Pro cases are expected to be available by Christmas, as reported. Apple unveiled these AirPods Pro with USB-C earlier this year during its September event. The release coincided with the introduction of the iPhone 15 lineup, where Apple transitioned from the Lightning port to USB-C.

Apple has consistently used the lightning port since its inception. The European Union has mandated USB-C charging for environmental reasons, promoting a versatile connector that has become the industry standard for various devices.
