InZoi 0.1.3 Hotfix Update – Key Changes and What’s Next

If you’ve been playing InZoi in early access, you’ll want to know about the latest InZoi 0.1.3 hotfix update that dropped recently. This patch addresses players’ major concerns, particularly around lifespan mechanics and clothing issues. Let’s break down what’s new and the developers’ plans for future updates.

What’s Fixed in the InZoi 0.1.3 Hotfix Update?

1. Adjusted Lifespan Rules

One of the biggest frustrations players had was Zois (the game’s characters) dying way too early. The InZoi 0.1.3 hotfix update changes this so that only Zo and senior age groups can now pass away naturally.

Before, younger Zois could die unexpectedly, cutting storylines short. Now, you’ll have more time to bond with your characters. However, this only applies to new saves; existing Zois in older saves won’t be affected.

2. Clothing Fixes

Many players also complained of washing the clothes and it remaining dirty. The InZoi 0.1.3 hotfix update fixes that. Now Damaged or dirty clothes are properly cleaned after washing.

3. Crash Fixes in InZoi 0.1.3 Hotfix Update

Moreover, there were random crashes in certain situations. The update tackles some of those stability issues. The team is still investigating other errors (like EL1 and E4 crashes when uploading canvases).

Developer Communication & Future Plans

The InZoi team has been pretty transparent about their roadmap, which is great for an early access game. Here’s what they’ve shared:

Short-Term Updates (April 2024)

According to the Developers Community Post:

  • More Hotfixes Coming: Expect smaller patches to address bugs quickly.
  • Priority Fixes: Gameplay-disrupting issues are at the top of the list.

Longer-Term Content Updates

According to the devs, the plan was to make major updates every two months. But they’re now considering faster, smaller content drops based on player feedback.

The team has a dedicated feedback channel on Discord for sharing and discussing input. Additionally, they’ll be conducting upcoming surveys to gather wider opinions from the community soon.

A Quick Note on the Dev Team’s “Break”

Some players panicked when the devs mentioned taking a two-day break after launch. We have to understand that game development is exhausting, and a short breather doesn’t mean they’ve abandoned the game. The team is listening, as they even backtracked on Denuvo after the backlash.

Final Thoughts – Is InZoi Improving?

The InZoi 0.1.3 hotfix update shows the devs are responsive, fixing key pain points early. There’s still work to do (especially with bugs), but the foundation has potential. If you’re playing, keep an eye out for more patches and maybe give the team a little patience while they cook up bigger updates.
